Mitt in MI

Well my heartfelt congrats go out to Mitt Romney for winning in Michigan. I really think he deserves the R nomination-I hope he gets it.

I was most delighted to learn that Washtenaw County (home to the lovely University of Michigan and cousins Laurellee and Juan Carlos) voted for Mitt (37%) over McCain (34%). Close, but a win nonetheless. I was surprised that Republicans from Ann Arbor would vote for someone so conservative-certainly McCain is known for appealing to independents and independent-leaning republicans. I guess Ann Arbor has true conservatives after all.

Yep, we have conservatives, and they all live in the AA 1st ward and the married student ward. :-)

Hahahaha-and if I remember correctly, that is not the ward you live in.

Go semi-conservative republicans!

Many Republicans do not consider Mitt conservative enough. Yes, he is fiscally conservative but many people are concerned about abortion and gay marriage. His record should say it all but his opponents are doing a great job of downplaying that.

It's also sad that the media is putting so much attention on the South Carolina primary, where Mitt is almost surely going to lose, instead of the Nevada primary, where he has a large lead in most polls. Nevada even has more delegates at stake (34 vs. 24), but no one seems to care. Unfortunate.
